The Valley of the Kings is situeted between high mountains and desert valley located on the west bank of the Nile, opposite the former Thebes. Almost the entire territory of West Bank constitutes a huge necropolis, where the rulers of the New Kingdom were buried.
– Hatshepsut Temple
Hatshepsut was a queen from the New Kingdom, from the 18th dynasty, which has disguised as a man, to be accepted as a ruler. The temple consists of three imposing terraces and it was dedicated to the god Amun and the goddess Hathor.
– Colossi of Memnon
Colossi of Memnon are two impressive statues of Amenhotep III.
