Tiran Island
The Straits of Tiran are the narrow sea passages between the Sinai and Arabian Peninsulas, separating the Gulf of Aqaba from the Red Sea. With a distance of about 13 km between the two peninsulas, this area is a haven for marine life and stunning coral reefs.
Tour Overview:
Pick-up Time:
You will be picked up from your hotel at around 08:00 AM and driven for approximately 30 minutes to the marina. After a quick security check with your passport, you’re ready to set sail.
Snorkeling Gear:
You can rent snorkeling equipment (mask, snorkel, fins, and life vest) at the port, or bring your own gear if you prefer.
Sailing to Tiran Island:
The journey to Tiran Island begins at 9:30 AM, with a 1.5-hour sail to the first stop. On the way, keep an eye out for the local pod of dolphins – a breathtaking sight for all! You will make 2-3 stops for snorkeling at famous coral reefs: Gordon, Woodhouse, Thomas, and Jackson (named after British cartographers).
Your guide will provide tips for snorkeling, safety instructions, and highlight what you can expect to see underwater at each stop.
Optional Diving:
Lunch:
Relax and enjoy a delicious buffet lunch on board, featuring chicken, kofta, rice, pasta, salads, Bedouin bread, and occasionally freshly caught fish. Soft drinks are also included.
Return Time:
At 4:00 PM, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh after an unforgettable day at sea.
